Welcome to Lake Wilderness!

Lake Wilderness offers a serene environment for comfortable living.  Located

on the historic Wilderness Battlefield grounds, we are surrounded by Civil

War landmarks and historical sites.  Our amenities include The Club Grille for

a great meal, a beach with a volleyball court, boat launches, 3 lakes

stocked yearly for fishing, community pool, tennis, basketball- 1 full court and

1 half court, playgrounds, a camping area, and a professional security force.

There are community activities such as 4th of July festivities, Holiday party,

social events, pool parties, and much, much more.

Currently there are 1035 dues generating lots and over 833 homes

which consist of 16 different sections with 3 separate entrances to

1-1A, 2-11, and 12-16.

The 2010 membership dues are $480.00. This primarily covers the

expense of maintenance of the subdivision facilities and common

areas, salaries of employees, a professional security force, insurance

and legal fees. The road maintenance fees are an additional $300 in

Sections 1-1A, $60 in Sections 2-11, and $70 in Sections 12-16. The

upkeep of the roads is accomplished with this income, including the

mowing of the roadway edges and ditch work.

The Board of Directors is the governing body of Lake Wilderness. The

Board is comprised of 9 elected volunteer members serving one, two,

or three year terms.

Standing committees include: Executive, AECC, Finance, Parks and

Property, Recreation, Security, Road Committee (Section 2-11), Adopt-

A-Highway, Swim Team, Communications and Lakes and Dams.

There are two Road Associations: 1) Sections 1-1A and 2) Sections

12-16.
